Actually I agree. But since the elderly vote counts 10x as much as the young, their opinion matter so much. We have to prioritize the future of the world over a grandparent's agony. Also, the best protection against dementia is social interaction. This may keep grandma sharp, plus you may have something to talk about outside thanksgiving...
