Pretty much every nation is in the clutches of the UN / EU since WW2. I think this goes all the way back in history long before any of us. OP is right. Even though it is hearsay it is probably worth looking into. I don't know who would have the expense reports - it might be the GAO. The original email stated that $65,000 if taxpayer money was spent so this is an approximate range of expenses to look for. I doubt that the money was spent on flying in literal hot dogs and pizzas, but the real question is WHO a large amount of money was paid to around the time stated. If taxpayer money was spent, there would be a record of it. If you find WHO got paid, you can then start to figure out WHAT they got paid for.

Since this was taxpayer money spent, there should be an accounting of it and this should be accessible by a FOIA request. Determining the agency to submit a request to is the problem right now, that's why I suggest GAO as a possibility.

It's a puzzle piece. That piece might fit into this puzzle, it might not. The piece shouldn't get thrown out, nor should it get pounded into the wrong spot. Rough back of the envelope calculations. If you used around half of the funds for transport costs, there would be $32.5k worth of Pizza & Dogs. Making an assumption of ~$8 per dog and ~$15 per pizza, and an order ratio of 1:1 (same number of dogs as pizzas) that would give you a little over 1400 pizzas AND 1400 dogs. That feeds a whole lot of people.

Not to mention, would the supposed source of these Pizzas/Dogs have the facilities to make that many Pizzas and Dogs, and wouldn't they be pretty soggy by the time they got to D.C., even if flown directly on a private jet, you'd still need to get them to/from the airport, etc. It'd take hours.
