The basis for voat is free expression, though. It may result in some wasted time now, but keeps things a lot more transparent i the long run. If we allowed censorship of things that were determined to be a waste of time, the question of who gets to make that distinction is a very precarious one. And if the practice becomes embedded, it opens the door to lots of risk of the wrong person getting the power to make those calls. It gives them the ability to shape the conversations of the entire sub. The wrong people get in there and you entire movement will have torpedoed themselves without knowing it. That took down numerous good subreddits over there.
