Very unintrusive ads on the site, not all of us can donate with cash so support how you can we have literally flodded the place.

If you give power to advertisers you will end up with Reddit. Make this a place where ad's are not welcome and thus muscle on the operators is reduced by donating directly.

Support Voat by turning on your blockers and then giving some of your hard earned Shekels to the operators. Don't get fucking ass tied up giving clicks to people just because you Voat.

ok.. so the ad jpgs are hosted externally... and still contain links to external url's relative to the ad.... ya... i still aint disabling my adblocker and neither will 95% of tech savvy folks... there needs to be another way..

Your sentiment is good, but Voat's ads are pretty basic. I don't think adblockers have any effect and clicks etc are not tracked anyways. The ads are just a JPG with some text and a link in the sidebar. Again, pretty basic. Not trying to be a dick, just to edumacate. :)

Even if they are not tracked from the PPC sense, they will be displayed as referral traffic for the advertiser once clicked, so the person placing the ad will see the traffic even if its not in the traditional sense. Actually I find the sidebar ads to be quite hilarious ... there was one for a subverse / undergoat idk. im newish here that sent me to a dark dank place with stick figures humping car exhausts, potentially best ads ever on a website :D
