I was thinking earlier why would Alefantis be among the top 50 most influential people in DC, then I thought what if he's running a blackmail ring, in which he invites these high profile people(politicians, businessmen) to Comet Ping Pong and catches them on camera in compromising positions with children, then he blackmails them and gets them to donate to the Clinton campaign.

Maybe, but it's not Alefantis at the top. There's someone behind it. Look at who benefits from the controlled politicians.

Again, that article about "influential people" was a fluff piece for GQ , which mostly covers mens' fashion and style news.
It also said that the guys doing the weather blog at the washington post were in the top 50. I wouldn't put too much stock in that particular article.

Good question, I live in a rural town and the pizza joint owner isn't in the top 50 here in cowtown USA. So the MSM logic dictates that in the national capital pizza = power.

The allegation that the Weiner laptop contained blackmail material has been made by someone claiming to be a NYPD insider.
James was a 'power couple' with David Brock (Media Matters, Correct the Record) and the two were in a DC magazine as such. But why he's visiting the White House multiple times... playing ping pong with Obama. He's certainly made political connections. He's also likely a public figure and that's why he hasn't sued anyone over this already. Plus, truth is a defense in a libel case.
