Ok, I'm sorry if this is not helpful, and I know it's been discussed. But something caught my eye in the
reuters article
about the law that takes affect tomorrow:
"The possibility of such harm [against innocent citizens] must be balanced against the very real and ongoing harms perpetrated by criminals - such as hackers, who continue to harm the security and invade the privacy of Americans through an ongoing botnet, or pedophiles who openly and brazenly discuss their plans to sexually assault children,"
That is Leslie Caldwell, Asst. US Attorney General. It goes on to say,
A handful of judges in recent months had dismissed evidence brought as part of a sweeping FBI child pornography sting, saying the search warrants used to hack suspects' computers exceeded their jurisdiction. The new rules are expected to make such searches generally valid.
Does that mean any hope for pizzagate justice? Or is it simply bad for the citizen investigators? What sweeping FBI cp stings have been dismissed recently?

This kind of law is always the opposite of how it is sold. It will be used to make YOUR investigation equal to "harassment" and "invasion of privacy."

yes, giving the corrupt more power is not going to help. It semes that corruption has been the biggest obstacle to this problem and not lack of evidence. Just look at what has been exposed through the publically available informaiton.

I think we're screwed. Utterly screwed. Beer me.
I don't contribute much here as far as investigating goes. I add to the subscriber list, absorb everything, and help spread the word irl. But it feels like we are so powerless. Is this seriously helpless? Feeling so depressed, any advice or words of wisdom appreciated. Thanks, fags.

Pretty sure the judge is talking about NIT (Network Investigative Technique) used to plant malware on visitors of the CP site the FBI was operating for a period of time.

Not likely?
Joseph Cox @josephfcox Nov 23 If you think the FBI will only mass hack child porn suspects, think again. It's used login into drug market vendor section as probable cause https://twitter.com/josephfcox/status/801203532951126016
