I have been unable to load the ricochet.im website ("secure connection failed"). Don't know what the problem is. My internet is throttled but I should still be able to load the site (?).

They responded to my recruiting posts. My feeling is that right now the need far outweighs the risk. I can volunteer to keep an eye on deleted submissions and make sure they aren't deleting valid posts (if we can solve my communication problem). Also, if they delete a good post, the user can always report it somehow. I don't see how a potential shill mod could really get away with anything, here, so long as you have the power to remove them. Just my thoughts on it.

I have asked a few of them to come mod - numbchuck has been added as a mod already. I've also reached out to someone else who's been a strong part of the community.

I'm just a janitor. I will follow whatever rules you put in place, although I will advocate for what I feel is best for the sub. No bitterness, here, although I don't like being accused of authoritarianism when I'm just trying to do a service for this sub, and I don't like being systematically downvoted and gagged.

I really appreciate the work you're putting in. And you're not just a janitor. Please continue advocating what you think is best for this sub.
