NerdyNoodle

How about someone from the city code enforcement comes in to investigate unpermitted work done in the concrete floor? That would be a legitimate reason to examine the work and see if any codes were violated.

And you're another person who thinks he knows the law when he doesn't know shit. The primary consideration in determining if an officer can search for evidence in a particular place, is whether or not the subject of the search has an expectation of privacy in that place. A business owner's expectation of privacy in commercial property is less than the privacy interest afforded to a private homeowner and is particularly attenuated in commercial property used in "closely regulated" industries (i.e., airports, railroads, restaurants, and liquor establishments), where business premises may be subject to regular administrative searches by state or federal agencies for the purpose of determining compliance with health, safety, or security regulations.

rspix000

So a pizza joint is a highly regulated industry, please. Exceptions to a warrant rule are narrowly construed and they should be. Ignorance can lead to failed prosecutions. Are you a llase flag OP? Why not take the "evidence" and get a judge to sign off on a warrant to make sure the search isn't thrown out as "fruit of the poisoned tree". Go ahead Google it up and check out Amalek's doxing of my civil right's lawyer's office, retard.

comeonpeople

You're cool with the government searching private businesses on the grounds that some people don't like the owner's sense of humor?

NotAnIdiot

Yes, keep willfully misrepresenting the situation.

comeonpeople

In any case, it is a DC restaurant that has been in business for a decade, they have obviously been inspected top to bottom many times -- most recently, in August of this year.

frizardfrogwizard

I'm cool with a 20 minute search being made to clear his name and clear his businesses reputation. Wouldn't you be if you were the accused?

A commercial business is also not a private business.

comeonpeople

If it's not owned by the government, it's a private business.

And like I said, the inspections any and all restaurants must go through are more extensive than 20 minutes and Comet has no doubt been through many of them in its decade of operation, most recently this August.

frizardfrogwizard

Any sane person would agree to a search to clear his name and his businesses reputation. These allegations are the worst possible. As a commercial business owner the FIRST thing you would do is get a search team / fbi/ in to clear your name / business. These allegations are literally going to kill his business and he won't agree to a little search to clear his name? Thats hiding something. Why are you against this?

frizardfrogwizard

Sorry mate but when you run a restaurant or bar or whatever, its a condition on the license that state/fed reps can search you for any reason and anytime they want. Imagine if people started dying randomly eating poisoned food from a restaurant? But from your logic because they have no evidence or hard proof, they wouldn't be able to do anything.

comeonpeople

Yes, food/safety inspections can be done. And have been done. Most recently, in August.

In your bizarre scenario, how would the state/fed reps know that there was poisoned food endgangering customers yet simultaneously have no evidence?

frizardfrogwizard

because it was over the course of a year and the only evidence that links these people together is going to the same restaurant. But thats only reasonable suspicion - with your logic they couldn't do shit with it.

ThePuppetShow

So because the restaurant has gone through health inspections your claim is there's nothing to see there? There couldn't possibly be a hidden trap door to a basement? Like the bathrooms, but better.?

Edit: BTW Voat, this white background with light grey font sucks.

comeonpeople

The floor is concrete.

I don't really see the point in hiding a basement. Aren't we talking about billionaires in this pedo ring? Why would they do their shit in some crappy basement of a popular pizza place and not in one of their mansions or on a private island or in a reconstructed temple of baphomet or at least in an abandoned warehouse?

ThePuppetShow

They why did you say you store the sauce in the basement, James?

frizardfrogwizard

this sites whole layout/design is just disgusting compared to reddit tbh. FUCK reddit tho

ThePuppetShow

I had night mode on. It's not as bad with it off.

Jehosefat

Sorry. But just any person cannot demand an inspection of a private restaurant... needs to be someone in an official capacity.

frizardfrogwizard

Hence why I said state/fed in title. Lol "Private restaurant" lemme know how business works out for you.
