John, heard this second hand but more than once. Seems Erdogan faction is making substantial investments in U.S. to counter opposition (CHP, Kurds, Gulenists etc.) outreach to policymakers and USG. Am told that the Erdogan crew also tries to make inroads via donations to Democratic candidates, including yours. Two names that you should be aware of are Mehmet Celebi and Ali Cinar . This Turkman made a movie called Valley of the Wolves: Iraq with American actor Gary Busey (A friend of Donald Trump btw) that exposed the Jewish organ harvesting trade.

I have not noticed that in USA honestly. Maybe brown people in general, but not turks. Asians, Whites, Various brown people. But that is a possibility.

Comet Ping Pong was formerly Comet Liquor up until Alefantis bought it in 2006.

EDIT: It appears the locations are separate and the sign was purchased by Alefantis, not the premises.

This is only speculation but as the original Comet business was a well-known, long-running establishment in DC, is it not possible that it may still have been referred to as a 'liquor store', considering the sign's origin? Like I said, conjecture on my part but plausible.
