Makes me wonder...virtually everything WaPo has written about this year has been false...makes me think it must be true BECAUSE they say it's false...

Aside from Inquisitur, ALL media reports have called it 'fake news' and hoax.

Not one has posted the bizarre Instagram photos and comments, bands, art work, or email texts that led to the 'conspiracy theory.'

N.C. man told police he went to D.C. pizzeria with assault rifle to ‘self-investigate’ election-related conspiracy theory - The Washington Post

'But the fake stories and threats persisted, some even aimed at children of Comet Ping Pong employees and patrons. '

'The man told police he had come to the restaurant to “self-investigate” an election-related conspiracy theory involving Hillary Clinton that spread online during her presidential campaign. '

'Police said 28-year-old Edgar Maddison Welch, of Salisbury, N.C., walked in the front door of Comet Ping Pong and pointed a firearm in the direction of a restaurant employee. '

'Vivek Jain, of Potomac, Md., was eating lunch inside Banana Leaf, a nearby Indian restaurant, when Comet patrons came rushing inside. '

'Police said in addition to the assault rifle, they also recovered two firearms inside the restaurant; an additional weapon was recovered in Welch’s car. '
