There's not really any way to protect your identity very well on the internet without a massive amount of effort.

Yeah I know it's frowned upon to concern troll, but in light of the past 24 hours I have decided that I need to contribute a post regarding the 'false flag' and the passage of bill H.R. 6393. I wanted to weigh my options and know the risks but this is more important.

No, if you live within the US or a data partner with the US such as UK, Germany, Sweden, France then your IP address will be enough. (if the US asks your ISP for your data).

Voat has a canary system in place for alerting the community of gag orders, data requests by government etc... although its been 12 days since the last one and v/Pizzagate has only been fully active for 10 days so we don't know yet.

There are many posts on here and online about how to use VPNs and protect your identity/personal data online which I highly suggest you read.
