HR6393 is pure evil. Going to be interesting seeing them try to use. Because there's some serious Unconstitutional stuff in there. -LIke foregoing the need for a warrant in some cases, and WORSE: the broad purview that VPN or TOR uses are automatically criminals in their eyes.

They have viral injector sw too: so now all they have to do is pick victims.

Plant Incriminating evidence -> pretend suspicion -> conduct 'investigation' -> find 'evidence' -> arrest.

/Repeat ad infinitum

Check section 501 of the bill:

There is established within the executive branch an interagency committee to counter active measures by the Russian Federation to exert covert influence.

Now, consider the following list of organizations from this "highly trusted" organization the Washington Post touts (who nobody knows, has ever heard of, or apparently knows any members of).

Yep, they're labeling alternative media as Russian spies. Bye Drudge. Bye Infowars. Bye Corbett Report. Bye all the YouTube channels you love. Hope they survive well in prison for being "Russian spies".

If Podesta were shot dead it would not only serve justice but would also force the MSM to report it in a way they would find it very hard to control. Just saying.

WARNING: I posted about this yesterday Devi Nunes wrote HR6393 with intentional language that gives the government the power to shut down what they consider "fake news" using the excuse of Russian propaganda. If John Podesta is in his office I am sure he had a hand in this and he might also have blackmail stuff on Nunes we need to make this viral. The bill is in the senate now if passed Obama will sign it into law then we all can be shut down.

If Podesta is around, why is the DC press not interviewing him? He's at the centre of the two biggest scandals in the world right now (Podesta emailgate, Pizzagate). If I were a newspaper editor, I would have my reporters staked outside his house.

HR 6393 is not that controversial, and it's been worked on for months. https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/2596

They also have to approve one every year or there will be a government shutdown of the NSA, CIA, etc.

Check section 501 of the bill. It's basically a resurrection of the UAC (Un-American Activities Committee), but against suspected "Russian" media firms. Now, consider this list that Washington Post described as those who have been identified as suspected Russian media firms:

http://www.propornot.com/p/the-list.html

Any idea who these people are? Are they a credible organization? Or is it some folks who don't like that we're figuring out what's going on?

Under such a committee, they would declare the ability to shut down these news services. Drudge Report. Infowars. RT. It's the entirety of alternative media. Everything but news outlets that favor the Democratic party, and Fox News.

This is extraordinarily controversial.

mishka

They have no such authority. All HUAC did was call people to testify. HUAC had no significant authority either, they did politely ask Hollywood executives to fire people, but that's pretty much it.

SIMONBARROW

Why are the Republicans going along with it, then?

VieBleu

somehow, I don't think they'd shut down.

pizzagatewillnotdie

"or there will be a government shutdown of the NSA, CIA, etc."

One can only dream.

UncookedSpirit

Another poster theorizes this will be used against us. https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1462287
