I'm a Redditor that's created a different username here to continue following the conversation on Voat. I happened to hear two different news stories in Canada about the shooter at Comet Pizza, and boy, did they ever hit listeners over the head with consistent reminders that this is fake news, a hoax, a conspiracy, and used words like 'absurd' and 'ludicrous'.
I have to imagine these outlets haven't looked as deeply into this issue as many of you/us have, and are perhaps too quick to dismiss it just because it sounds like something too far-fetched to believe. But let's not forget the times when stories thought too far-fetched to be true have turned out being truer than they'd believe, especially when involving pedophiles. Let's all keep in mind stories like the huge, arguably ongoing Catholic Church cover-up, as finally exposed in the mainstream by the Spotlight news team, as well as the story of Jimmy Savile, whom nobody thought could have done such a thing until it was proven he did.
Any time news sources are as eager to consistently remind you that something is fake, it reeks of agenda, at least to me.
For your own interest:
From CBC Radio One's "As It Happens" broadcast,
here
. Click on Part 2. The story in question starts at 10:47.
If for whatever reason that doesn't work, go to the main website
here
, click "Listen to Full Episode" (from December 5, 2016). When the pop-up player appears, click on Part 2, and scroll to 10:47.
And, from CTV's evening broadcast news,
here
. Especially interesting is this sentence: "The fake news stories alleging that Clinton and her campaign chief ran a child sex ring out of the restaurant have been denounced by the owner of the popular pizza restaurant." No shit? The owner of a restaurant purported to be involved in a child sex trafficking ring denies it? Of fucking course he does. Not that this mean he's guilty, but it sure as fuck doesn't prove his innocence.
Anyway, I'm curious to hear others' thoughts.

I live in Canada. The media is a world class embarrassment. They take their talking points from the lead elephants in the US mainstream.

Agreed.

Well, Canadians know how to read and research for themselves too. And they don't put a lot of trust in their own lamestream media either.

It's interesting that they always say "Hillary ran" the sex ring. While it's certainly possible that Hillary runs trafficking and pedo rings, pizzagate researchers have been pretty good about keeping the focus on the Podestas and other people implicated. Hillary may have used the rings for leverage and blackmail while never directly getting her hands dirty. Or she may be one of the top figures in international child trafficking. We don't know yet.
Same with the idea of the sex ring "run out" of Comet. While that's a possibility, it's also possible that nothing untoward has ever happened on the Comet premises, and that it's just one of the places these people network.
They never mention WHY people became suspicious in the first place. One article I saw mentioned "pizza related handkerchief map" and alleged codewords. But they never mention James' instagram or Tony's art collection or the McCann angle or Kleinman's music videos or the crazy Bif Potato Head shit etc. etc. It's very unusual, because you'd think if it was all so baseless they'd be eager to debunk the evidence. Instead, it's almost like they've looked at the images and said, "shit, this doesn't look good at all, I better just dimiss it out of hand."
Remember also, since this is Canada, that we're dealing with a transnational ruling class/power structure. You shouldn't expect media in allied countries to responsibly report on the scandal.

That's certainly something that irks me - I've never heard anybody reference the reasons why people are suspicious about this in the first place. Like you said, it's just an immediate dismissal.

The fact that nobody in the MSM seems the slightest bit interested in the McCann/Podesta sketches is perplexing.

These outfits are simply PR arms of the powerful. Now that we know that they do not care about our interests, we can afford to give them much less attention.
