Look, not for nothing, but they are going ballistic over the basement at Comet thing. There's post after post now of the basement being at Bucks -- all these posts AFTER it was proven and put in print that there is a basement and that Alefantis admitted there was one.
I'm going to post more about this because there is an anomaly in the real estate information. Yes, the information is still there proving there is a basement both at Bucks and Comet, but something is left off both properties.

I spotted a group posting articles on a burger joint over the space of a few days then staged an AMA with an employee that was receiving 'threatening' calls. Called it for what it was 100% shilling lots of the contributors had negative scores it was a mess. But it got cleared up. Just remember what Ghandi said 'First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. '
I feel like in some way the shills are exploiting the framework of voat's upvoat / downvoat functions. As a new member I can only upvoat until I hit the minimum 100 comment contribution points. Maybe they have created or purchased a variety of accounts most new, allowing them to mass upvoat posts that they favour. More worrying would be them gaining control of accounts that have the minimum comment contribution points, which would allow them to mass downvoat as well.
If something important is being downvoated we need to make multiple threads on the same topic to both increase visibility and divide the shills' attention.
I like this. Repost something important & link to the previous post that got buried not only repromote the original information but continue to create shill awareness.
WE must be careful to vet information on the thread discussions thoroughly, because these terd floaters will try to sabotage by feeding false information.
You can often just "tell" that it's a Shill. The best way to be sure is to check the account age and post history of anyone who appears skeptical about pizzagate. From my limited experience a shill account will be completely one sided and full of hostile, ad hominem attacks.
One of the tells is that the person uses odd terminology or comes at topics from obtuse angles. As a newbie you may not have caught on to Voat's way of talking about things and so more resemble a shill than a goat.
For example: I had to read your comment about Alephantitis' feelings about the camera being moved a few times to figure out what your angle was.
One tactic of CTR during the election was to make reasonable sounding comments that were ultimately trying to muddy the waters. Introduce notes of doubt etc. It's hard to explain to a newbie why these more subtle shills stand out, because they just do.
Sure legit newbies will get called shills, but we can't slow down for them. They have to catch up with us. Learn where it's appropriate and acceptable to demand evidence or speculate on different motivations or causes behind aspects of the investigation. And watch out for unnecessarily obtuse language. Autists in general don't like wishy-washy language and will default to downvoating as a quick problem solving response so they can move on with the real focus of their attention.
So if you all want to go ahead and participate in group think over upvotes, then I am going to leave.
Don't make ultimatums like this. Leave or don't leave. This reads as concern trolling and criticism of a system that's actually working and successfully exposing the people and networks behind these crimes, and that alone will get you downvoated.

We should undertake a psychological campaign of demoralization/repetetive-negative-entrainment against them. Every time you see an obvious shill comment, reply along the lines of:
Every time you post one of these comments you are protecting people who torture, rape, and murder children.
...
You are a person who gets paid to protect child rapists.
...
Every time you see someone you love, you will think to yourself "I get paid to protect child rapists".
etc., in your own phrasing, with your own twist, or exactly the same, doesn't really matter. Even if there are four replies like that already on the comment, make another one. If there's one thing we've all learned from experience with shills, it's that they do check their inbox, diligently. The idea is to repetitively confront them with what they're doing over and over and over again and build a negative psychological response into their psyche.
Never engage with the content of their post in any way
. If they reply to you, no matter what they say, just write another one of those messages telling them very directly what they're doing.
The messages shouldn't be angry either. For two reasons, firstly, shills are trolls, secondly, (I'm not no god damn psychologist but bear with me) anger makes the message less effective at working it's way into the shill's psyche. When some angry person yells at you "fuck you, you're a fucking retarded asshole" that's just an angry person being angry and you can more or less laugh it off. Anger prompts an immediate denial/defense/dismissal response. When large numbers of people are repeating a message to you in clear, direct, unemotional language, presenting you with nonthreatening, straightforward sentences that just happen to be designed to build habits into your cognition (e.g. the third example), the knee-jerk anger defense reflex isn't triggered and the ideas are processed more deeply.
At some point the shill will either quit out of inability to deal with the cognitive dissonance, or, by some unlikely miracle, actually grow a conscience and realize what they're doing. It's my guess that the majority of shills are bad people but they're not psychopathic, mass murderer, pedophiles, they just have weak morals and want the pay, or they've bought some kind of political brainwashing. Some of them can be broken with repetition. If you just write a few of these replies and keep them in text somewhere, you can just paste them whenever you see a shill. Originality is not necessary. Only truth and repetition.
Pasting one of these replies is hardly any more effort than downvoating, and aside from the potential for breaking shills, it also leaves a public visual indication of the unified recognition that the user is a shill.
That is not generally an easy thing to determine conclusively, and in the end it's up to each of us to consider the validity of any other users comments.

CCP isn't nearly as impactful as submission voter fraud. Sure, gaming comment votes is active censorship that we should be vigilant against, but you don't see entire nations practically falling to their knees just because one dude had a popular opinion.

Voat isn't sybil attack resistant. With enough resources, they can easily outnumber us. With 45+ accounts able to vote, it will be easy to activate more and more new accounts. Unless mods can identify and ban shill accounts who do the voting, Voat may not be viable in the long run.

Voat isn't sybil attack resistant. With enough resources, they can easily outnumber us. With 45+ accounts able to vote, it will be easy to activate more and more new accounts. Unless mods can identify and ban shill accounts who do the voting, Voat may not be viable in the long run.
