This is probably what's goin on

YouaremeandIamyou

the smoking gun is the article by benajamin freed that came out hours before the event

DigForTheKids

I assumed this is what everyone else here was thinking. They raised the price at this one station in order to minimize the possibility a innocent bystander might wind up having a front row seat at the staged event.

ThorTheWonderful

Another way to look at that is just what you said, they do not want the average person stopping in the neighborhood because they have something to hide. Too many of the wrong crowd might make their "safe space" a little uncomfortable.

anonentity

Yes and most of the time Comet is empty, and he's supposed to be selling a thousand pizzas a day? Apparently if they are they should be able to make them by now...everyone says the are crap.'

ThorTheWonderful

I wouldn't doubt they are crap when there is a possibility the salami is made from little Toni.

r3dtr1x

lol everything is a SMOKING GUN to people here.

There was previous discussion about the weird, seemingly high gas price at the Exxon station across the street from Comet Ping Pong. I cannot immediate locate the thread, but the gas price was confirmed on gasbuddy the same day the incident occured. Other people, myself included, thought it was weird and pointed it out. Someone pulled gasbuddy on Sunday after that twitter video was posted and proved the gas price listed on gasbuddy matched the price listed on the video. It's not a SMOKING GUN. Get a grip.

dookiehowzer

Its common for nice/rich areas to price gouge but yeah a full dollar more is kinda crazy, i knew of a shell near a rich area that would up it 40-50 cents

r3dtr1x

The Exxon station did have a much higher price than the other stations in the area. This was confirmed on gasbuddy the same day it happened. Everyone thought it was weird, but it checked out.

ThorTheWonderful

Thats a HUGE difference http://archive.is/bjN1p

r3dtr1x

You are correct. It's a huge difference. But, it's not relevant.

ThorTheWonderful

Not so sure, scouring through the news from the last time gas prices were that high I found this odd head line right way "Hermes of Paris to CityCenterDC, new life for blighted Pleasant Plains home, more &pizza" archived here http://archive.is/oOSee

r3dtr1x

thats confusing and doesn't make sense. Looks like a typo to me.

srayzie

But I watched a LIVE video of someone who is helping with Pizzagate. It was on Periscope. I saw all kinds of people outside and the police. How could they have filmed it at a different time with all of the people outside watching? I wonder what this means.

Nilly

The weather lines up. Completely overcast in the video. Historical weather data for reagan airport in dc a few miles away

save_thechildren

No it's because the whole block is owned by the Saudis :)

HarveyKlinger

Could the higher prices be because the gas station is in a trendy neighborhood or by a business district? That's common in Chicago. Close to downtown gas can be $4 but go a few blocks and it could be $2.89.

HarveyKlinger

Jeesh, there's a shrine out in front of Comet now? Ugh... Liberals and their causes.

momojaja

That pisses me of..how people nowadays make evrything into an emotional tragedy. People love to have a cry on. This is of the reasons we are becoming too soft. We cry over everything, even there was no death here.

EndThePizza

Good god, they make it sound like someone died.

srayzie

Oh that makes me sick. Let's comfort the freak now. Wtf? Now he gets to have a pat on the back and free advertising! I bet he'll have many new customers. He's becoming infamous! It makes my blood boil.

NotANormie

these brainwashed sheep making real lefties look bad

Nilly

If we can verify that the price of gas at the Connecticut Ave Exxon was different at the time of the "shooting" that would be proof it was filmed at some other time. Does anyone know if and how you can view historical prices posted to gasbuddy?

r3dtr1x

Gas prices matched on Sunday shortly after the incident. Someone pulled gasbuddy then. I cannot immediately locate the thread.

Thrash57

There is most definitely an iphone app that tells you the prices of specific stores as users report them.

StrangeHologram

That's why we need someone in DC to research. Plus DC will be higher price

derram

https://archive.is/EeA6n :

jeffgep on Twitter: "#Breaking : Major police presence near #comet pizza in #Northwest DC near the corner of Connecticut and Nebraska. Man arrested. t.co/RrqaBt2kKR"

This has been an automated message.

PleadingtheYiff

That's a pretty weird find. Why could be the reason for it?

rutkdn

Interesting. It shows 3.29 for Exxon 5030 Connecticut Ave NW & Nebraska Ave if you search by zipcode 20008: http://sli.mg/cpJRQP

SAME EXACT price as the video and was changed yesterday. All other stations are well below 3!

StrangeHologram

They just changed it?!?

rutkdn

Well it shows that it was changed by user Valuablezero on Tue 5:13 PM. What are you seeing?

r3dtr1x

gas prices fluxuate a few pennies from day to day. Daily changes in price are absolutely normal.

rutkdn

Yes, however this is by far the most expensive gas station in the area. All others are in the $2.5 range. Not saying this is a significant finding, but interesting nonetheless.

ThorTheWonderful

We have to go back almost 3 years to see prices that high. I think we need to scour the news and other media for video from around the time period. http://archive.is/NJ2al

StrangeHologram

Yeah, they changed it after the FF to match! Can anyone in DC confirm current price at this Exxon? Sooner the better.
