We need to be able to judge a post based purely on merit of the post, not by who is behind it. It's not always possible to tell the difference between a shill and someone who is arguing in good faith, but guess what? It shouldn't matter, so stop calling people shills. Whether we like it or not shills are here to stay, and if we assume that any dissent to a popular theory or a dubious lead here is a shill, then we will stop thinking critically and become another echo-chamber. This is what they want.

And what if the shills get more sophisticated? What if we apply this philosophy, and then ignore all the shills based on their poor posts so that the only thing they can do to get attention is make valid criticisms? Well then they're helping us! Ruthless critics sharpen minds, and break up circle jerks about how fantastic we are for not drinking the MSM koolaid.

Just because they're a shill doesn't mean they're wrong, and just because they're one of us, doesn't mean they're right. So put on your thinking cap, and thank the next shill you see for making you think critically.
