They take instagrams private, they take down websites and videos ALL the time. They're responding quite fast now, probably monitoring this forum.

Use archive.org and archive.fo, or even better, a cheap hard drive to save stuff offline. A 500 GB USB hard drive costs less than $35.

And save it BEFORE you post it here .

If you see something on a users profile, go through their entire profile and get screen shots of everything that could be possible evidence, before mentioning them to anyone.

People were not doing this a month ago, and caused most accounts to go private, and we now lost access to most evidence.

Screenshots are better than downloads, because screenshots can capture conversations, date and time stamps, and also website address locations.

Use http://archive.is as well to keep a snapshot of the page online after they took it down and put the archive link in your article alongside the original url.

For youtube videos, download a local copy using https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com/video-converter (use mp4 video codec) and make sure to check once in a while if the original video is still up. Youtube has gone full totalitarian and is censoring videos that are too critical of the establishment. If the video is gone, reupload it. If they close your account create 10 accounts and reupload 10 times. They'll stop removing videos when they understand that they can't win playing whack-a-mole with us.

or best let's make a Discord group or some IM where we can share those videos and trigger the chain upload at the same time,with misleading keywords with different fonts and trick their algorithm system.

I like /u/SomeD 's idea of using archive.is and then downloading the zip file they provide, but for simple web pages, even just using your browser's File -> Save As function is good enough.

I'm saving EVERY page I find be interesting, and I've made a .txt with a description to each link. If I need to share something or post it, I just look at it. This is my backup process
