Reg flags went up for me when Colbert said - at 1:55 - that Comet "...does not have a basement."

In a 2015 published interview in Metro Weekly , Alefantis spoke from inside the restaurant to a reporter, saying:

"Like our sauce — we harvest a whole crop of organic tomatoes — 10 tons of tomatoes every year. Can them all, store them in the basement , have like a harvest party when it gets loaded in."

I'd think someone at the Late Show would have at least done a little due diligence to Google "Comet Ping Pong + Basement" and find that. Maybe not as "proof," but at least to see why people have a logical reason to be swayed by elements of PizzaGate other than "craziness."

I honestly didn't even realize we were getting any real attention on Reddit. I thought it was just a relatively small group of people (given how many are ever online at any given time, like around 1,000 right now) discussing a conspiracy theory and that most people didn't give a damn. I mean it's the conspiracy theory community. On Reddit. Really made it seem like someone must have alerted him that some person on Reddit noticed he was in a wikileaks email and then he just flipped his shit on an otherwise low-traffic community. Just launching the Streisand effect fireworks for the hell of it, I guess.
