They've been longtime friends: in addition to the one plane ride, they've dined together, and Epstein had over a dozen contact phone numbers for Trump. Epstein also pled the Fifth when asked if he and Trump socialized in the presence of underage girls. When exactly did Trump renounce Epstein, and if he did, how do you know it's not just covering his tracks?

Bill Clinton flew on Epstein's plane 20+ proven times to that private "child orgy island" -- and refused Secret Service at least 4 times on that island. Meanwhile, Trump flew on Epstein's private jet "at least once"... to catch a ride back to New York -- not the orgy island. It is also reported in Epstein's associate's testimony (from long ago when they were investigating Epstein) that no one underage was on the plane when Trump flew on it.

And look - Trump has publicly used this against Hillary. If Trump really did have a horrible secret here, wouldn't he want to leave Epstein allegations out of the spotlight completely?

Plus, it is normal that Trump as a wellknown businessman would have some sort of relationship with tons of other millionaires. Wrong to assume that everyone who was friends with Epstein participated in these activities. Guess who else was in Epstein's "little black book"? Barbara Walters. Chris Rock and Kevin Spacey were there too.

And let's look at those accusations. They're written like a bad comedy:

Lastly, that supposed question from Epstein's testimony ("Have you ever socialized with Donald Trump in the presence of females under the age of 18?") was actually "Have you ever socialized with Alan Dershowitz in the presence of females under the age of 18?”, according to the earliest source I can find on it. Epstein plead the fifth in response, and then continued to plead the Fifth when asked the same question regarding Trump, David Copperfield, former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson and music industry magnate Tommy Mottola. So I can imagine him being interviewed and just refusing to talk at all at that point.

When did Trump ever use Epstein against Hillary? I've seen no indication that he did, which is rather telling. And why would Trump's spokespeople lie in order to downplay their relationship? His attorney said they had "no relationship", and that Trump only knew him through the Mar-a-Lago Club. But Trump is on the record saying "I’ve known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with", has dined with him, and has numerous contact numbers in Epstein's address book.

Katie Johnson's allegations are somewhat shakier. But the argument that based on the timing, they're political in nature doesn't make much sense. Rape victims have real psychological reasons for not reporting immediately. And anyone who accuses a politician of rape, whether legitimate or not, will be accused of having a political motive.

Bill Clinton is definitely more likely to be guilty than Trump. I would say I'm all but certain Bill Clinton is a child rapist, but I'm not dismissing Trump so easily either. In particular, Trump's distortion of the facts to distance himself from Epstein, and (as far as I've seen) not using Epstein against Hillary, looks very odd. If Trump actually did bring up Epstein, or does in the future, that'll change my mind.
