Thanks. Everything is buried by new stuff, no focused discussions are possible. This VOAT-system is pure garbage.

I agree.

I had hand surgery about six month ago. Had three trigger finger releases and a cyst removed from the base of my middle finger. He has scars similar to mine in the palm of my hand.

I can also say he has the same issue with the skin being too tight to and the tendons showing in his hand. I had my pinkie, ring and middle finger done. I cannot open my hand all the way anymore due to the skin growing back way too tightly and I will need surgery to get full use back.

One other point, with hands you are dealing with thin skin that needs to move. Unlike other parts on your body, you really do not store fat on the.palm of your hand. Scar tissue binds to the skin and limits movement even more. In just the last three months, I have become unable to open my pinkie more than half way because of scar binding while waiting for the surgery to correct it.

As for the condition you stated he has, I am suspect only because it rarely happens on those fingers naturally. If my thinking is correct and he has scars attaching to tendons, that can cause it. I have it on my thumb and it is very noticeable at the joint to my palm. It is nearly twice the size as the other thumb joint.

The exaggerated lines in the palm of his hand look exactly like my scars from trigger release and the bulging tendons in his fingers lead me to think he has the same scar binding I have but not treated.

Both of his hands looking like that is very strange because what he claims to have is caused by usage rather than genetics in most cases. I would imagine a farm hand or laborer to have this not a guy sitting at a desk all day.

Seems very plausible. Good find.

nice find, I found the bit about toddlers and infants pretty disturbing.

"The precise cause of a Dupuytren's contracture is not known. However, it is known that it occurs more frequently in patients with diabetes mellitus, seizure disorders (epilepsy), and alcoholism."

Yes, that was discussed in another thread and by reading the linked email I stumbled over that info about the illness.

Doesn't explain the bandaid or superficial cutaneous scarring

stunknife

definitely from the spirit cooking rituals

Who knows. What matters is all the verifiable evidence available - more then enough there to make a mess for all of us. (unless you're Trump or Putin)
