If you have more info or connections regarding a previous lead we have discussed, you're best off private messaging the original post op with the new info.

Why?

• They are less likely to miss it (the original thread may have hundreds of comments and your new info gets lost in there).

• A private message is safer - mods can't bury it or delete it, your privacy is a bit more secure too

• It will also give the original op, who presumably has the most info already, a chance to dig further without giving anything away.

• Working in private removes opportunities for the opposition to counter us.

And to be honest I don't trust the mods in here anymore so it's always best to remove any opportunities of tampering.

If your new info is a HUGE lead, by all means post it, but do it as a new post, not a comment on an old one.
