Can someone please explain why it seems so many non-primitive people are into magic rituals? Are these people actually getting something tangibly magical out of it? It goes against my understanding of reality but there must be a reason for this.
It's their faith, their religion. This is probably what their 'bible' teaches and that's how they practice it. Islam, Jewish, Christian, Buddhist, Satanist etc... Blind belief in their faith. No empathy, no moral compass. Practice what you preach, that's the only way you'd ever know
But how do normal people all of a sudden start believing that sacrificing babies will give them magical powers? There must be some evidence or do they just assume thats wht powerfuk people are powerful.
It's like asking for evidence of god or any other deity, there isnt really anything solid to prove it exists, they just believe. These practices are ancient and maybe some weren't born 'normal', they were born into this particular belief. Well that's just my theory. I know my culture back in the day, our ancestors would eat people, our enemies, believing that we would consume their power or spirit. So theoretically speaking you could look at it as evil consuming the spirits of innocents?? Or it could be the one thing they can't have freely, the only taboo to the rich & powerful. I actually think it's pretty stupid though, devil worship, because would you really trust the devil? You go to hell after judgement from god, would the devil really let you have fun in the pits of endless perilous torture? I doubt it. You go to hell to pay for your sins?. I'm not big on religion so I'm just speculating here. That's why Soros is trying to live as long as possible after his 6th heart transplant, shit scared of judgement day. The devil is probably laughing at them sacrificing innocent children for him thinking they'll be safe in hell
Ex pagan here-- Magic has power if you believe in it. So if you do a spell or rite to influence a situation around you, you end up using confirmation bias if things go their way, or if their expectations fall flat, maybe they need to crank up the magic factor with more offerings to their deity of choice. Either way, more "magic" would be done.
Some pagan paths hold that sex can be powerful magic; the building of energy until orgasm, which then releases it into the ether to work one's will. Again, if one believes that such actions actually influence the world around them, then their perception of magic is dependent on how they view it. Could be they do it for shock value; black mass sort of shit... ritualized rich people blackmail club. Could be they do it because they get off on the power and making it look even more "fuck you normies" because normal people would get their asses handed to them in prison during shower time.
