Read the code comments, particularly the reference to here -> https://code.google.com/archive/p/slowaes/

Well, what is aes -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Encryption_Standard

Basically, the encryption standard that powers SSL (or your https pages). -> https://luxsci.com/blog/256-bit-aes-encryption-for-ssl-and-tls-maximal-security.html

As I mentioned, I am not a programmer so therefore cannot fully grasp what is being said. It is like pointing at a page in Russian and saying understand that. That is why I asked for an explanation.

ghost_marauder

Simplest way I can state it without you taking a crash course in encryption is that this is a function to hide information being passed from the browser to the server and vise versa. Usually we use the secure socket layer (SSL) for that (it's why the URL here is https:// <- saying http secure, use the secure socket layer to pass http messages), but there are advantages in putting the encryption into the browser. Unfortunately, this is just the code about hiding messages, and not what messages between your machine and theirs are being sent.

I really don't want to go reverse engineering a page, so I'm leaving it at that.

norobotono

Thanks for that explanation.

norobotono

Thanks for that explanation. Guess we will just have to wait a while to see which it would be.

I think the site is a bit shady. Why did they feel the need to add a tracker (getclicky.com) that records our IPs?

norobotono

Yes I figured it was something like that but what I was getting at is whether it is normal to have that on a normal website or does it make the site look more legitimate in terms of releasing something because it is there (which of course might also be a hoax)? I.e does it's being there fit in with the claims being made, otherwise why would it be there?

0xFFF

It is not normal. They decrypt the html with it before rendering it. The website won't work with js disabled (and empty browser cache). why? data is only decrypted client side and not that visible through traffic analysis?

WakeyWake

I don't know about programming, but I know I archived findingassange.com within the last 24 hours or so. I also tweeted wikileaks task force to ask if what was on the page was true (about new podesta leak). They didn't respond.

abortionburger

I tweeted at them too but the tweet isn't showing up on my page. Neither is the one I sent to Trump yesterday.

norobotono

Good idea. Doubtful they will reply as I think they are compromised due to it being the simplest thing to get a livestream to the embassy tho show he is still alive.
