Fox news had a short piece tonight stating that FB is looking into monitoring fake news. They will be using the NYT, Snopes, AP and several others to fact check articles. Facebook’s plan to purge fake news relies on users, who flag stories they suspect of being bogus. Then, those stories are sent to third-party fact checkers, including Politifact, Factcheck, The Associated Press, The Washington Post, ABC News and Snopes. If ultimately deemed questionable, the story is labeled "disputed."

All the fact check sources are highly controlled news outlets. When they don't like an article getting attention, they get their army of fake personas, using persona management software, to vote it as fake and then they pass it on to their "fact checkers" to "validate" that it is fake or not.

This feels like prerequisite for another FF or some type of legal escalation against people who try to counter their "fake news" narratives.
