This might not be the case with Alex but if I was in his shoes it would probably be the route I would take. The reason being is if you stick your head out too much then it is bound to be cut off. If he believes that he has said enough to inspire people to continue fighting his fight then why would he unnecessarily risk his own life when he might not need to. I'm not saying it is the right approach or logic to have but I can understand it. I bet it's not easy putting your own life, and more importantly your own family's lives at risk standing up for what you believe in. Whatever the case may be with Alex he is part of the reason why I fight against parts of this system and I will forever be grateful to him for that whatever the future may bring.
