I echo KKWR's sentiment. By all means, step up to your desired level of involvement. Maybe run something by us if you're not sure, and check your work where added mods are concerned, but I trust you to do your best at getting it right.

deleting posts doesn't really take any longer than pinging somebody. the only responsibility of a Janitor is deleting rule-violating posts, as time allows of course. you wouldn't be expected to devote anymore time than you want to.
