Somewhat-random Mildly interesting: I once went to a fraternity party at a U.S. university and one of the brothers showed me a room that had a huge metal statute of Satan ( it was maybe 5'-6' tall despite being in a crouching position). He laughed it off saying an alum had sent it to them as a joke, but it looked like a pretty expensive joke. Ever since then I have been more accepting of some of those skull and bones-esque Satan worshiping theories. I think it's possible that a lot of these more elite fraternities get the ball rolling and it continues as they advance in their careers.
