Yep. Reddit was down for me earlier as well. At least r/conspiracy , r/whereisassange , and r/wikileaks . Didnt bother checking any other subs. And yeah- the voat is down for maintenance/under alien attack issue has gotten almost out of hand today

What I found interesting is when I tried to visit it gave me the "Down for emergency maintenance screen", but when I went to Reddit Status, they said it was scheduled maintenance: https://twitter.com/redditstatus/status/811421037183135744

Also, Voat went down at the exact same time. Why would they perform maintenance at the same time? That seems like a missed opportunity to get the Redditers that have no place to go.

No. There was an announcement for maintenance that was stitched on the front page an hour before it went down saying "We're going offline briefly when this post is one hour old for brief maintenance."
