This will be interesting to watch, especially if Jew_Goldstein used a VPN. If he did I would like to see if they are successful in tracking him down and what methods they used. Security is key when playing this game, lets see if this guy covered his ass or not.

BW, which one of you guys did this anyway?

Knowing Dallas County, my guess is the judge will give him what he wants

HarveyKlinger

Yep. He got it.

Twitter will hand over data on the user who sent a seizure-inducing tweet to a journalist

What a dope. If you truly get seizures and you DON'T have autoplay turned off for videos/gifs, it's your own damn fault. And the fact that he got caught lying about Trump, despite what it says in his lawsuit, he does know why the gifs were sent.

EDIT: He already had autoplay turned off. He willingly played the video. His attention getting "case" just got face fucked hard. From Kurt's own Newsweek article 10/16: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C0KMOjfUoAAlTfC.jpg

Does he have proof of his seizure?

amyrebeccajames

I don't think he needs proof to sue for someone's ID, only to win a subsequent suit. This is his attempt to learn an identity so he can intimidate and harass or have someone killed.

webofslime

Well, you need to have a case number to be able to serve a subpoena. Since Twitter won't object and the anonymous person is not yet represented, he is basically screwed. The best move, legally, would have been to lawyer up immediately, and block the initial subpoena based on the 4th Amendment and the fact that there is no proof a seizure actually happened.

HarveyKlinger

zilch. I don't think he even has proof of a wife.

HarveyKlinger

The gist of the lawsuit is that an anonymous Twitter user sent an animated gif to this "journalist" and allegedly caused a seizure. For those that don't know, Eichenwald is an habitual liar. Anyway, Eichenwald is going after @jew_goldstein and anybody else that sent animated gifs (and there were a few). Here's what's important about this lawsuit for pizzagaters.

  • Petitioner seeks to identify and investigate Doe and any other individuals who may have acted in concert with him/her in engaging in the assault against Petitioner.

If this lawsuit is successful in forcing Twitter to give up all info on users, the same can happen here for any/all users discussing pizzagate, assuming VOAT is within US jurisdiction.

amyrebeccajames

does this "reporter" reside in Dallas?

HarveyKlinger

Not sure. I know he was born in New York and met what he thought was an underage male porn star in LA after paying him $2000. Not sure where he lives now.

amyrebeccajames

I was just shocked to see the lawsuit being filed in Dallas County. Either Twitter or the victim needs to have jurisdiction in that county and I guess I assumed he was some kind of New York or LA reporter guy. Not sure why I thought that.
