The encryption Wikileaks is using on the insurance files they release is mathematically proven to be too strong. You can't decrypt it without the key.

People have found bits and pieces of something (though not actual leaked files or keys) hidden in bitcoins and bitcoin transactions, but that's not entirely unexpected given Assange once said that bitcoins are part of Wikileaks' whole security system.

Some think the "dead man's switch" has gone off for various reasons and therefore the stuff they are finding in the chain of bitcoin transacations will lead them to the decryption key that will unlock the insurance file(s). The idea being that this is part of a "Plan B" for releasing the keys. They think they will be able to find them even if the NSA has already found them because they can't be deleted.

My opinion is that I don't think that will happen. I think the bitcoin stuff is part of a real verification system, but that's all there is to it. It's there only to prevent tampering with the files and to prove these files came from Wikileaks (rather than being edited by the CIA for example, if Wikileaks got compromised).

They way (I think) that it works is this. Let's say I have a dollar. On that dollar I write "The unique signature for File #1 is 3A5FBCD1". Then I spend the dollar anywhere I want. Because of the way bitcoin works, you can trace the history of the dollar and prove it came from my wallet. Also because of the way distributed way bitcoin works you can't delete the history (this is what makes bitcoin itself secure), and you can't delete the dollar either. So when someone releases "File #1", you can search through every dollar bill, find the message I wrote that says "The unique signature for File #1 is 3A5FBCD1". If your file matches the signature, then it is the same file and confirms the file you have genuinely came from me (or Wikileaks in this case).

Timewasters. If the the keys existed and accessed anything significant they could post some of the content to prove it.

They're being censored

UglyTruth

Not buying it. If they're smart enough to decrypt 88GB of data then they should be smart enough to post something from it on voat or one of the chans via a free wifi connection.

I was following end chan thread today. I really think the experts should post there and the newfags on Bitcoin should lurk. I am a newfags to all of this but read on 911 Pedo Nuclear etc etc for many years. Got info on getting non NATO VPN in China and trying Debian based Linux. I think the remaining Podesta emails Part 3 may be in the block chain. It's alleged the keys are in block chain also. Here is a link they gave to non NATO VPN and stated to pay with Bitcoin:

Interesting thought. Do you know a timeline when they might publish?

I found the thread after all. It is still there. They can't seem to publish because of blocking software. Many are saying they got new information off the block chain. They say cable gate used block chain data also. I saw a timer that said 5 hours but that could be try again and disseminate. I'm tempted to go into the dark web myself. I am posting here to dissuade alarmists to mess up the efforts with undo attention. If they make progress I'm sure we will hear.
