It doesn't have the points on the top and bottom though

Theupsidedown

Correct, I noted that in my comment. It's the same proportionally on the other points though, and practitioners of the lens tend to redesign the hexagrams for their own personal meanings. See "Thelema" on Wikipedia.

I don't think your thread deserved to be down voated.

Thanks. I didn't expect it to be crazy or anything groundbreaking, amd it is a bit trivial. I thought it was just another one of those "coincidences..."

2impendingdoom

me too,and you never know what new association may result by mentioning it. Obviously, the satan graphic imagery / comet sign was a deliberate choice for Alafantis, not coincidence at all.

2impendingdoom

Since you are bringing up comet, is there anything to the word itself? I was digging a bit over the weekend thinking that Huma Abedin and Amal Clooney are so alike and I found a long scathing RedNationRising blog discussing exactly that. What I also found was wikipedia says that Amal's lebanese family had a travel agency named Comet. So I wonder now, does the name Comet have a secret significance?

Theupsidedown

I mean, comet is kind of a mystery object, but other than that I don't see any real significance there...although didn't the most recent pope John Paul before the one who resigned have a comet on his coat of arms or whatever it is?

2impendingdoom

I have no idea about that. there was also the sect that suicided themselves to a comet (a thread I started weeks ago) but I don't know if there is a special significance either. probably not.

If you look at Comet's sign, the angles are the four corners of the star of thelema; it is just missing the top and bottom points. Just a trivial observation, no breakthrough here.
