Would that matter? If we know that all information IS being recorded, and that we all have open / shared access and ownership, can it really matter who made the tool? If we find it to be corrupt, build it again if the theory works.

There is only so much information that can be added. Moderators and algorithms need to organise the discussion around the relevant parts.
