Thorn website is a treasure trove of information and guidelines for best practices in investigation. I am not a member of Thorn but I recommend the group to citizens who wish to get involved. Thorn works with law enforcement to actually convict perpetrators of child trafficking and sex abuse . They are a highly respected force who are allowed to legally investigate the dark web and other places the average citizens dares not go.

While it is well and good to expose the evils of this world, it is devastating to investigators for the leads and clues they are following to be outed online. Please go to your own social media sites and post about actual convictions and past incontrovertible evidences used in closed cases but for the sake of Victims who may still be in danger, STOP POSTING LEADS IN PUBLIC FORUMS. Form a private facebook group or go meet in a coffee shop to share ideas in private!

As a victim of child sexual abuse, I BEG you to stop chasing rabbits. This culture of outing clues to current cases for the public to view is helping NO ONE. It would be better for all of you to send your tips and leads to DCPD and FBI like an avalanche, keeping accurate private records of all submissions and then FOIA their asses and post about how the DCPD and FBI refuse to investigate.
