To clarify, not just the OP but the number of comments in that thread that have nearly identical stories. People don't want to acknowledge that this kind of thing happens. If they deny it in their own families, there's absolutely no chance of them believing it happens in top tier gov't. FWIW, I actually have a similar story to this.
