Kristoff using the pizza code does NOT make him seem like an ally, imo. I had a similar thought: that somebody using code might be signaling. However, he does say that this "must stop". I would give the benefit of the doubt, and it may still be worth a shot contacting him. Perhaps he can be interviewed and will say something to broaden our knowledge.

People are always happy to listen to other peoples or countries 'dirty laundry' but not their own. This is a good way to introduce people to topic. ' Look at this topic on this place happening'...
