As for the three articles, the first, People Magazine, doesn't show at all for WayBack, nada.

The second, about Obamas fave San Fran Pizza? WayBack Machine indicates Aug. 14, 2013 as it's "backup" (closest creation) date.

The third article, Washington Times? Doesn't show at all in WayBack.

And the blog? Internet archive shows it dated as July 15, 2014... that's the back-up date for "Maxistentialism".

On the other hand, we now have a DATE to attach to the EMAIL... Friday, April 10, 2009 - if you believe that an article posted for that length of time, SOMEHOW didn't enter Wayback machine until July, 2014... curiouser and curiouser...

I find that very strange indeed. In fact, with this information I'd be more inclined to believe that these were "updates" to existing stories which were being back-loaded to appear contemporaneous (by whom ?, for reasons unknown), rather than the other way around, us finally "discovering" material we'd been looking to find for almost 2 solid months now. I'm more inclined to believe that.

Infopractical

My takeaway from this is that once Obama was president, he went out of his way to signal his love for pizza.

Nice work OP. I forgot about those events. They talk about pizza from St. Louis and SF. The email from May 2009 states the 65K was spend on pizza and dogs from Chicago. Looks like might be different events.

ZalesMcMuffin

This is one of the most important topics on here today. Good work digging up this stuff, OP.

You're right about the $65k; all the articles were insisting ZERO money was spent flying this guy to DC. So, where'd the $65k go? 20 pounds of dough and 3 gallons of sauce can't cost anywhere near that.

fartyshorts

Private jets are expensive, it might be an explanation, but no excuse... Flying in fast food with a private jet for a private party, where it isn't even allowed? It really doesn't make any sense.

It is worth to note that the email in question is a Stratfor email and not a primary source, just for clarification. It is interesting, however, that the reply is saying:

If we get the same "waitresses," I'm all for it!!!

ZalesMcMuffin

What private jet? The chef said he had already booked the flight, so no taxpayer money went to that.

fartyshorts

Oh, really? That certainly makes it more difficult to explain away. :D

ZalesMcMuffin

Indeed.

goat_cheese_pizza

Is that the chef that wound up dead? So it wasn't cause they made him spike the beef Wellington?

ZalesMcMuffin

That was a former White House chef. This guy is a pizza chef who made a trip to the WH. Not the same.

SecondAmendment

Hah, I had the same question. Fingers crossed that our new DOJ will get to the bottom of this. I have a feeling Trump's colleagues are in here watching y'all connect the dots here, just keeping track as they prepare to do their own thing. God, I pray it's so.
