I've always thought his Sports Authority emails were suspicious

Sheilaaliens

ugh they removed a lengthy comment I made which basically said if you read the email, it sorta does seem like maybe the wikileaks WERE INTENTIONAL and scrubbed prior to release.

GeneralProductsHull

yeah, had the thot last night that it was done (ie FBIAnon) to trigger widespread testing of the pedoring vulnerabilities.

lots of scrubbing been going on in the leadup to Inauguration.

Candle4TheKids

I don't know if anyone's seen this all ready but here it is again just in case:

John Podesta Body Language Analysis

It's fascinating to me that a lot of these people are weak minded beta males. They have an affliction or weakness (little boys?) that can be exploited by their superiors yet they think or are told they are more important than they are. I think he may be worried he is going to get thrown under the bus if all this really gets out.

LostandFound

http://news.mit.edu/2014/mit-white-house-co-sponsor-workshop-on-big-data-privacy-0304 / http://archive.is/vOvpO

MIT hosts the first of three conferences on privacy policy -

White House Counselor John Podesta, grounded by snow in Washington, delivered his keynote address and took questions over the phone. But Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker was on hand, as were MIT President L. Rafael Reif and a host of computer scientists from MIT, Harvard University, and Microsoft Research, who spoke about the technical challenges of protecting privacy in big data sets.

His history with security and encryption goes way back

thefloodcontrol

I get what you are saying but those things are so highly related I'm not convinced. An encryption hobbyist who is otherwise clueless about information security? Very odd.

Lunari

Yeah, that's exactly what I thought too. I find it highly unlikely and damn near impossible for someone with even moderate encryption knowledge to be so absolutely clueless about passwords to the point that their password is fucking p@ssw0rd.

When I think to myself what kind of person would actually fucking use p@ssw0rd for their password - I feel like the only people who could be that clueless would be either:

  • older seniors - like the ones who have close to no computer skills and barely know how to even turn on the computer

  • younger naive kids who aren't really old enough to understand or comprehend the importance of Internet and account security

For example: Going by this logic, that would be the same as comparing it to someone who is a mechanic and knowledgeable about cars - yet they somehow don't know how to change a tire.

It just seems far to unlikely.... idk. The concept of having high intelligence in some areas and low intelligence in other areas is definitely 100% true. But, again - not when it's 2 things that are so extremely closely related like that.

PieInTheEye

Yeah, I used to know a guy who could fill a black-board with the most amazing calculus. Sort of guy who could probably work out the meaning of the universe in an equation ... but he couldn't master the most banal things such as a manual auto transmission, or a fishing reel.

As Assange has recently said, computers have become to complex to either know, or control access to, all of the back-doors or channels from which information can be hacked.

Could Podesta understand stenography? Based on what I can see of how he operates ... with a gmail account! parallel to private email accounts at C.A.P ... he doesn't seem to be hyper competent outside of the sociopathic tendency to let ones guard down -- false valuations and bad situational awareness. Center for American Progress had a lot of funds at its disposal, so I would have thought that they could have provided John Podesta with a private encrypted email server?

faissaloo

We know for a fact some of the images were stegged...

r3dtr1x

Podesta is a registered foreign agent AND a crypto freak? You better believe the NSA was monitoring him. I think it was US intelligence, NSA/CIA/FBI who hacked Podesta and sent to Wikileaks. Although it begs the question... what secure channels does he use that we will never know about? We've got just bits and pieces of this mans life. He's got more accounts, and is he's even half as smart as he should be about hiding shit, we will certainly never find it.

WanderingMitten

Not that his IQ is low persay, he's just cocky and figured no one would ever guess his password.

Granted think about it truthfully, the password itself is pretty genius as simple as it might look

have to consider when someone is attempting to obtain a person's password, there are a lot of variables. letters, numbers, in some cases cases sensitive and then the random symbols.

So even though we see p@ssw0rd and laugh are how simple it looks, it's honestly a pretty strong password because it uses a symbol and a number in it. if antyhing it shows how scary smart he can be in that respect maybe ! could be used as an i, @ a $ s and when you think of how easy it is to remember a password if you integrate symbols into a simple word, you actually create a strong password.

If you wanna have some fun, dick with this site

https://howsecureismypassword.net/

password is an instant unlock, but p@ssw0rd is 19mins, granted ya it's low, but it's low because his password is short,

But of course, regardless of his password, the fact he did the dumb thing of giving it away is what is most amusing about it. That's like espionage 101, never give out any important credentials.

Anon3256320

You are a joke.

If he'd been any resemblance of smart that password would unlock his offline password manager at best.

Yes, 19 minutes to crack is better than 0 minutes. Any half-assed person has a max length password consisting of all characters available. With the current technology there isn't enough time in the world to crack those.

"Pretty genious"... FFS, read up on dictionary attacks and most used passwords to understand why 19 minutes is an unrealistically long time to crack it.

GrendelKhan

I don't know if I've seen any obvious encrypted stuff. But, what may be hiding in plain sight? Steganography.

It's going to take smarter people than I...

Sheilaaliens

I was looking on Fiverr but I couldn't find anybody with any steganography gigs active

Sheilaaliens

Exaclty, here's an example (links to google's online book reader, not cp)

yabbadoody

hey John, decrypt this:

"JN_P3DUR@$T@_1ZA_P3D00F1LE"

that's so top secret, 33 levels, he'll never get it...

Vindicator

Upvoat for you for lols.

yabbadoody

Well looks like he "crypto'd" himself right out of a job, doesn't it... he he.

And crypto doesn't exactly mean he was smart enough to USE encryption... seeing as how he does high-level consultancy with household name government figures, and shadowy dictator types. Now THAT would've required a certified genius, imho, which he obviously is not. and for anyone to suggest that crypto-boy didn't step square into the proverbial ELEPHANT TURD, well... you're gong to need to prove that summation.

I thought Hillary was going to rip his head off and vomit kid guts down his neck the day after the election. But she didn't - mercy.

Baluga

Some of the images he received apparently have porn hidden in them via steganography. I am aware of investagation trying to tease out the hidden images, but this is a work in progress.

Sheilaaliens

Yeah they don't make easy-to-use or understand steganography software :/

ZalesMcMuffin

Well, since you say it is certain, there is no longer any room for debate.

Orange_Circle

Podesta is also big into aliens.

Devious1

Couldn't laugh any harder at this, encryption expert, yet willingly gives Apple user id and password in the same email, John "Runner1234" Podesta

Should of practised what he preached, serves the phucker right he got hacked.... Oh sorry not hacked, had his account accessed through shear incompetency.

Funnily enough, the emails appear to f been deleted from wikileaks...... More proof that wikileaks is compromised?

U know what, I no longer give a fk > dead mans keys have been released. Router got xkeyscored https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/XKeyscore

Reboot router and all is well. Americans brace for incoming...... It's going to be a rough ride> peace out.

Nb: copies have been distribured with instructions on what to do, in a way my own dead mans switch.

Stellarjay

Useful degenerate idiot to the elites, wishing he was higher up the ladder I'm sure, but just as disposable as anyone else. We have been duped into believing that politicians are intelligent and it's so wrong. They are a bunch of talking heads that answer to the soros-elites of the world.

8toborrm

Exactly. So they are typically very good at playing some verbal game of "Operation" where they thread the fucking needle of not answering questions, not lying, creating several escape routes, etc.

AnUnconcernedCitizen

It's one big masquerade party, and the wealthy plutocrats wear politicians as their masks. I thought this was common knowledge?

MolochHunter

I think its a typo, i reckon he's into crypts. The way Saville was ;)

yabbadoody

I'll bet he can crack open a horde of kiddie slush, if you give him the key code...

party1981

This explains the bizarre emails from Taiwan with random picture PDFs in them.

We just haven't cracked the code yet. Perhaps the FBI has.

fifibrindacier

Which emails ?

party1981

I don't have the exact ones ready. They have been widely discussed here. Strange emails with attachments that seem to be blank, with weird random images in them. Everyone thought it was stenography, yet nobody cracked it (and probably wouldn't want to!).

fifibrindacier

I tried to decrypt some of them with a software, using as password the chinese or english words, but didn't work.

party1981

Right. I don't anyone has decrypted them publicly. There is a good chance that the NSA or FBI has.

Learning that JP has some encryption skills makes me think there is a reasonably good chance that they are part of the child trafficking ring emails. Perhaps pics of kids to be bought/sold.

delivery1

These, the text part of the emails as well as the images (see the attachments) are very random stuff. In addition, why is he writing Chinese in most of his emails and sending them to Podesta, I doubt he can read or speak the language.

https://wikileaks.org/podesta-emails/?q=mail2000.com.tw&mfrom=&mto=&title=&notitle=&date_from=&date_to=&nofrom=&noto=&count=50&sort=6#searchresult

yabbadoody

Google Translate does a pretty fair job with these... just tried a couple of the titles, appear to be business related.

ZalesMcMuffin

Hmmm. Looking at a few random emails on that list, they appear to be just some Asian person's mundane email spam to a personal friends list. But... why would Podesta stay on such a list? Is this someone he knows personally?

fifibrindacier

Ok thanks. So the jpg and pps attachments files can be encrypted ?

delivery1

Information can be hidden in pictures by altering the pixels (their color values).

AnthraxAlex

Encryption isn't really a super complicated thing. It no more complicated than mod operations on data with prime numbers as keys. Its strength comes from the (o)^ N complexity of factoring large numbers and finding a prime factor. The difficulty is mainly implementing a system of doing the encryption that cant be gamed or have the keys be accidentally divulged. Im always wary of people who call themselves encryption experts but don't have a back ground in computational sciences or hard maths.

islandofdelight

Crypto - zoology ??

from Wikipedia: Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience with the goal of identifying and describing beings from the folklore and the fossil record, which cryptozoologists refer to as cryptids.

This is a broad category that could include extraterrestrials or demonology. Not hard to imagine this was the intended meaning.

Vindicator

Cryptozoology is a pseudoscience with the goal of identifying and describing beings from the folklore >

You figured it out! This explains the plague of green frogs unleashed on the Internet. He summoned Kek. De-crypted. Too hilarious!

Sheilaaliens

That is absurd lol. Read the context of the email. By the way I'm a cryptozoologist so very funny you would say that. Podesta tries to jump on the alien bandwagon but that doesn't make him anything close to a cryptozoologist. And again obviously the context is about data encryption.

The_Kuru

Is this supposed to convince me that someone really sophisticated must have hacked him rather than some intern at Clinton hq who guessed his password was "pizza"?

Sheilaaliens

Not at all. That doesn't even come to mind for me. All that comes to mind is that he knows how to encrypt and decrypt CP. Another thing that comes to mind is my dad who retired from the military as an E7, he was in the tech department and he can run fiber optics cables and set up satellites for the government yet he will put his debit card info into a random pop-up window when Christmas shopping and get scammed online because he has no idea what an adblocker is. Lmao. Old technology experts do not adapt well to the new world of technology. John podesta included I'm sure. Encryption is an old thing, like him.

Orange_Circle

Hi assistant was also in and out of his email box.

DietCokehead1

Can't imagine he's very good at encryption if retarded enough to get phished.

rooting4redpillers

I don't know much about the source, but here's one blow-by-blow description of how this [Podesta email hack] might have happened:

"Clinton’s Tech Support Apparently Fell For Scheme That Got John Podesta’s Email Hacked"

http://lawnewz.com/politics/hillary-clinton-email-hack-john-podesta-phishing/

throwitawayn0w

Is there any reason to believe Podesta wanted this leak to happen?

ZalesMcMuffin

"Cui bono"... has the leak benefited him in any way? I'm not aware of any. Perhaps there's a meta-level I'm just not seeing yet, but it looks to me like it's been a massive reputational black eye for him (and likely to worsen over time).

Sharipie

He sure hasn't been acting like he wanted this leak. It might have been something where he got an email and clicked on it before realizing he didn't know the sender and that was all it took.

throwitawayn0w

I honestly hope that's what happened. Just trying to see another angle. We are just as obnoxious as they are if we think we can see the truth so easily.

SoSpricyHotDog

That's a bit hard to believe... someone is labeled as "more than a [crypto] hobbyist" with roots in the NSA and falls victim to a phishing attempt? That is like Michael Jordan missing a slam dunk on a Little Tikes basketball hoop.

PizzaAccount

Even Michael Jordan could trip doing so, and crack his skull on the concrete. It's actually a good analogy. Podesta was probably so convinced of his own superiority that he made a silly mistake, one that a non-expert would have been more careful about.

Sheilaaliens

Encrypting kiddie p0rn is an entirely different train of thought from securing your own e-mail and being wise to modern-day phishing attempts... he's still, after all, an old fuddie duddie.

SpikyAube

So what could be going on, why would they lie about that?

Free_Radical

So what could be going on, why would they lie about that?

My guess is that the guy was simply wrong about the Pederasta's expertise. It's still significant because it indicates interest in hiding their tracks.

pocketfulofstones

We shouldn't conflate knowing a thing or two about encryption with being wise to phishing attempts. He probably knows some specific things, but I doubt he is an expert.

Do we even have confirmation that his email was phished (besides the leaked phishing email)? That in itself is not proof that he actually went for the bait and used it to change his password

Free_Radical

The story I've read paints him as a total fish. He, reportedly, asked the "tech" guy to advise upon receiving the phishing e-mail. The guy told him to change his password and he did it through the phishing e-mail link. Total failure for all involved.

SayWhatNOWAY

Maybe the freak PedoPodesta in his circle refers to himself as an expert! So, they are poking fun of him.

SpikyAube

Yeah very true, he might know specifics about one particular area but not really be well versed in email security. He probably first got into it before computers even existed!!

thestormking

And yet he falls for a fairly obvious fishing scheme and his password is p@ssw0rd.

0xFFF

thats because maybe you should not take it literally, more as in he likes to use encryption.

PizzaAccount

It's actually quite common with scams in general. Intelligent people who know they are intelligent make the assumption that they could never fall for a scam. They often feel like they would know a scam when they see one, and fail to take a step back, and consider that they might be had. Also, I believe it was said that someone else verified that the e-mail was legit before passing it along to him.

thestormking

It's called a joke.

zzvoat

The fish was on his hand. This was phishing. Haha!

gosso920

I'm surprised it wasn't ifuckkids.

dogeminho

He was probably arrogant.

ArthurEdens

Supposedly that was done by an assistant and tech because of a miscommunication, but who knows, Podesta could have done it and blamed them to save his own neck.

crystalclearme

lol- that was my initial thought as well

GizaDog

This makes we wonder if it was done intentionally. Just seems too easy.

Lunari

Someone I know (who is into "conspiracy theories" but hasn't really been following or investigating any of the PizzaGate stuff and only knows any new info that comes up from what I tell him about) he has been telling me for the past 2 weeks or so that he's almost completely convinced that it was all done intentionally and planned to play out in a very specific way..... Sometimes I do understand his point and certain things make me sort of agree - but at the same time, certain other things make me absolutely disagree with that theory entirely. I'm very 50/50 on it right now.....

The only thing that really makes me consider it all being planned and done intentionally is the simple fact that the elite have had complete control of everything for so long - and have always been quite good at "covering things up" and not leaving much solid evidence of anything. Just small bits of evidence on things here and there - which never matters much, since anyone who finds and talks about any of that evidence is easily discredited and not taken seriously because they are just looked at as "crazy tin foil hate conspiracy theorists".

Yet with all of this whole PizzaGate thing - it just seems like they have extremely "sloppy" with this considering the large amount of evidence that has been left out. So many things that normally they would have covered up but with this it seems like nothing was bothered to be covered up at all..... too much stuff that has been left out in the open in plain sight to the point that it's quite suspicious as to how they'd suddenly be so sloppy about something so serious. Not only that, but their whole "fake news" crap is just a really strange attempt at discrediting the "crazy conspiracy theorists" compare it to how they've always handle any other situation. It somewhat feels like they're pulling some "reverse psychology" shit making it seem like they're attempting to discredit it, but actually want people to believe it? There could be some entire ulterior motive to this that we have no clue about?

Maybe not - who fucking knows. It's just a thought to at least think about though....

Ushil

Well, who profits of Pizzagate being exposed?

  • Breitbart
  • Trump
  • Netanyahu

Who doesn't?

  • Soros
  • Podesta Brothers
  • Clintons

GizaDog

What does not make sense to me is James Alefantis Instagram account. Everyone could see what crazy shit he was posting along with all the wild comments. To an untrained eye, it would seem some shit is going but the media came out to defend Alefantis and not even look at the images.

The elites know that its very painful for anyone with a "heart" to believe anyone would do that to children. This whole event is to shut down peoples emotions and heart on a mental level or what is called "Traumatic Mind Altering Events" similar to 9/11 or other large events that are used to fuck with peoples mental state.

Alefantis could just be an actor at this point that is within the circle of the elite. Ive seen James in a close embrace with the Clinton's head of CTR David Brock that would make anyone sit up and look further.

LostandFound

I agree with you the sloppiness is worth noting. But dont confuse Podesta / Clintons / Alefantis etc. etc .as anything more than pawns. Even HRC and Bill had to whore themselves for money, this is not what the real players do. The real players dont even think in terms of money as they understand its not important to their goals, its just an instrument to keep everyone in check. Soros crashed at least one countries economy if not two just by moving money, and again hes only a bit player he has no lineage.

We are now living in a digital age and these people are over the hill and unfamiliar... password = p@ssword really ??. Also we only got Podestas gmail account not his CAP or other emails. Dont forget Obama was the first pres to use email from the time he started office and as a standard tool of communication.

Chistock

John Podesta was pushed into the NSA a long time ago and given review authority on cryptographic policy, among other things. He is not just some geek campaign manager, he spy jerk geek of considerable influence. https://cryptome.org/puzzle.htm https://cryptome.org/jya/wjc-crypto.htm https://cryptome.org/wh091699.htm https://cryptome.org/us-crypto-up.htm https://cryptome.org/2014/01/obama-nsa-13-0117.htm https://cryptome.org/2014/03/tech-stop-spying.htm https://cryptome.org/cybersec-wh.htm

Blacksmith21

Podesta wasn't NSA. He was EFF - Electronic Frontier Foundation. EFF and NSA are nemeses.

AnUnconcernedCitizen

There are so many "experts" out there that are anything but. Podesta's probably capable of conceptualizing things and putting out Powerpoints with the help of real subject matter experts, but he probably doesn't actually know the first fucking thing about coding and relies on other people's pre-made scripts and applets for everything

yabbadoody

I'll bet he still jerks off manually. but to kiddie porn.

He's not cool like The Dude. The carpet pissers did not do this, man.

ArthurEdens

Exactly, how do we know he didn't get the expert stamp because he provided some kids to someone.

postfascion

Thankfully their biggest danger isn't from the observed public, it is from within their own confused minds. Paranoia will do that to you. At this point we are the observers of their own existential breakdown. Grab the popcorn, its gonna get interesting.
