my thoughts: the DC police are actively covering this up. they claimed to have investigated, and actually didn't (they LIED). DC Police are so close to the center of power, logically they MUST be compromised.

Checking for evidence left behind wont do any harm, even if it means someone breaking in to check the place if the police wont (and they probably wont) cooperate..
