I hope we are taken out by a continent sized asteroid. This world sucks.

retreaux

We? Speak for yourself.

I'm not giving up.

They did the same to Trump with the fake lawsuit from Katie Johnson (who admitted she made it all up). http://pizzagate.wiki/Donald_Trump#Katie_Johnson.2C_Trump_Rape_Accuser

This email doesn't demonstrate that whatsoever.

Do even know what they are discussing in that email? Did you even check the date?

EndThePizza

Agreed, title is misleading. Assange is not the topic of their conversation in the email. BUT it is still very important, as it shows that they have no problem with making false accusations in order to discredit and attack those who reveal their secrets.

Pizzalurker15

Exactly. Shows that he is willing to punish a potentially innocent person just to show that you better not fuck with him. Thats what i got.

quantokitty

Yes, it shows the mindset of making a leaker, whether innocent or not, the target of a mud-slinging campaign.

whatonearth

Where are you getting the idea that mudslinging is the method of "making an example" that he is talking about? Serious question. I don't know what context I'm missing.

quantokitty

"Making an example" of someone whether they're guilty of not? You're overlooking that point. Who wants to make an example of someone that's innocent? That shows an unstable, irrational, very harsh mindset. You would expect an elite leader to determine guilt first, but not with Podesta! Definition of make an example: "Punish someone so as to be a warning to others, as in The teacher made an example of the boy she caught cheating, or The judge imposed a tough sentence to make an example of the car thieves. This usage is first recorded in John Wycliffe's followers' translation of the Bible (c. 1382)." Does this really mean going easy? Add in the first part, and you have someone wanting to use any method, including ones they have used in the past.

AreWeSure

Are you missing the point they are talking about internal staff? That this is essentially a managment issue?
