I believe the hints we have received from insiders over the months about religion being very important is something we overlook. People have explored the satanic involvement in human trafficking, but we forget a major player that kind of brought this topic into the public for a lot of normal folks. It seems a lot of abuse happens in Minnesota and the twin cities is of note. The vatican felt compelled enough to involve itself into an investigation there.

The catholic priest scandals and also teen organizations with religious owners/themes(not as huge, but important). It was a huge deal and it was a staggering amount of abuse and so wide spread by a religious institute. From my memory of watching the news during that time It was severely downplayed.

It was made as a joke in two respects. People making fun of catholic priests, normalizing it and downplaying the seriousness and the depravity of the acts. And the priests making fun of us by covering it all up, stopping investigations, and protecting priests by moving them around among other tactics to make us forget to reality of how horrible these acts are...
