Even if it was...his video about the room was on point

This is obviously a false flag. No reason whatsoever to believe Alefantis would have a phone call with some stranger investigating him and subsequently (criminally)threaten him and his family.

To all who fall for this, please turn on your brain.

SIMONBARROW

I think you mean you think it's a hoax. (A 'false flag' is an operation designed to put the blame for something on someone who didn't do it.) It could be. That's the internet for you.

Sentastixc

I thought false flag was kind of appropriate to describe a faked event(the call) that causes the research community to go into the wrong direction.

SIMONBARROW

No, that sounds more like a red herring!

There's no proof that this is legit. In 30 seconds I reproduced his "proof" video by right clicking the name on a chat window in facebook, clicking Inspect Element, and then editing the url that the link goes to. See https://voat.co/v/pizzagate/1541808/7505552 for how he could try to prove it. He hasn't done so yet.

Beaucephus

His proof video showed him click on the name once, go back and click on it again from a different source without any breaks in the feed. If he left the page, then went back to the page, he would have to re-edit the source code upon returning to the page.

throwawaa

Not true -- clicking Home doesn't reload the chat box or the url of its title. I tried this myself.

Beaucephus

I'm going to have to take your word for it. I'm not able to recreate it with my browser.
