I.P.F.S. - This is a distributed internet that will be highly resistant to takedowns and other attacks, good for archiving stuff.

T.O.R. - When used properly, allows full anonymity from even the government, while using this, make sure it's set to the highest security and that javascript is always off. Do not log into any accounts associated with you during the same session that you're accessing anonymous accounts, always generate a new identity between accessing things you want to remain unlinked. I do not recommend using TOR on Windows 8 or above.

T.A.I.L.S. - An OS Designed specifically around TOR and privacy, If you have windows 8, 10, put this on a memory stick and use it when you want to be secure. While you should still have javascript disabled, it is much more secure under TAILS than it is in Windows. Do not use in a virtual machine under windows, under Linux is more or less OK though.

Tox - A fully end to end encrypted messaging system, works best when paired with TOR

Linux - Kind of obvious, but, if you didn't know already, windows is full of backdoors and other risks, stay away from Ubuntu, as they've been untrustworthy in the past. I recommend using Manjaro

if u want to keep windows u can also put TAILS on a Virtual Machine on windows..i believe like say by PizzaInvestigator that its more secure to boot it from USB , but doing it on VM could allow u to access both O.S at the same time...(there is many tuts to do it on Youtube/internet and how to secure it at max)

i am not the best techie so @ThePizzaInvestigator could probably tell u more about this possible option...

As I said, do NOT boot TAILS in a VM on windows, there is next to no added security, doing a direct boot is the only way to be 100% sure that you're getting the full security benefits from TAILS.

Use TAILS, or replace your OS with a Linux distro such as Manjaro.

EDIT: You can hold Alt/Option while the Mac turns on to boot to a USB Drive or DVD.

Windows 7's standard support ended but security support doesn't end until 2020-14-01.

While some data may not need to be secure, it's still important to make sure it's secure so that it discourages a false sense of security and also governments.

The embedded and enterprise versions of windows are much better, windows 7 and below (Before some updates) could easily be configured to be far more secure.
