C.G.I. was announced for closure back in September 1.5 ish months before podesta emails broke and 2 months before the election was over. That being said good information in the article.
Edit: flared as accuracy in question as there is no misleading title flare.

I thought the closure was, on face value, contingent on her inevitable successful bid for presidency. Was this not the way the information was presented at the time?

When the Clinton Global Initiative opens Monday for its 12th and final annual meeting, it’ll be a little less global, lighter on initiative and absent one Clinton.

So that's a no. It was scheduled for shut down regardless of the outcome of the presidency.

Wait are you trying to say this statement isn't just pr spin? Because when it was made it seemed kind of blatant considering all the heat about her position, and families position, and her government employees position, within their foundations in relation to what Hillary was supposed to have during her position as secretary. So I don't think it's a no, or that this actually proves it was planned more than a week out.
