Why would Braverman decline to be interviewed for such a story? IMHO this story is misdirection, pure and simple. If Braverman's career were really going on as usual and he had just accepted this appointment, why would he not want to talk about it? It's even weirder that the Schmidts do not want to talk about it either. I will continue to regard Braverman as missing until we actually see him in physical form.

Why do you find this surprising? This sort of stuff happens all the time. It sounds like the reporter got the story before they fully ready to make the announcement. Maybe they wanted to roll this out at another time. Maybe all the details weren't finalized.

Yeah... I tried to contact him at Yale (xxxxx.edu) with no success. Students had reported seeing him on campus in November 2016, and I emailed him to confirm whether he was going to be leading his class in Spring 2017 (which is listed in the course listing).

Braverman was likely put in this job to give him a high profile but low human contact position (unlike a classroom which is where he was going to be) to help him seem "normal" and keep him quiet at the same time. Likely he didn't have much of a choice. Take this job or...Webb has gone on to expose the techs.

I just saw one site that continued it's Braverman is missing coverage after getting told by Braverman's father that this was nonsense. "notice he didn't deny it!"

There was this theory that Eric Bravermen was missing based on nothing at all other than the fact he hasn't tweeted in a while. The theory was he was in hiding because he was going to tell the Russians or the FBI or Interpol or Reddit all that he knew. There literally was a fake new site that said he went to the Russian embassy to defect.

He was only missing in the same universe where Hillary Clinton has had dozens of her enemies killed. However, a lot of people choose to live in that universe. There was a bunch of nittering online about him and then a fake news website claimed he turned himself into the Russian embassy, but that was the whole "more to it." It was just a people in no position to know making big claims. Where is he? He is probably in the exact same places he was before he was declared missing. The internet is not life.

I appreciate your devil's advocacy most of the time, but it is strange for us all to be unable to locate someone relatively high-profile, and it's also strange to make like that isn't strange. It's not just the Internet. Nobody seems to be able to find him via any means at all.

Simple stuff. WHERE is Eric Braverman? "He isn't missing" is not an answer to that question. It's an answer to a different question. "He is probably..." is also not an answer to the question of where he is. It's just a guess. We shouldn't have to guess, and the longer we do have to, the more rational suspicion becomes.

George has just wondered where Eric is, what he knows and why he is laying low. He has many times said Eric is alive. Eric is just a kickstart for George's investigation and like George said, he isn't sure how much Eric knows. He knows something, that's for sure, saying "follow the money". And IF he knows a lot and IF he is the good guy, he could be the key for many of the Clinton cases.
