CNN wants someone with six years of writing and reporting experience who gets "angry every time they see an inaccuracy."

The ad says "This writer should live on the Internet, and be intimately aware of its darkest corners. They should be capable of doing a quick news story, and of spending days or weeks obsessing about a subject, They should get angry every time they see any inaccuracy in any story, whether large or small, and whether published by a fake news site or a real one."

Sounds to me like our voices are now so loud on voat, Reddit, 4chan etc , that 'fake news' purveyors like CNN are ramping up their propaganda operation. We are winning!

It's quite reminiscent of how the Church of Scientology did things. First they gave Gerry Armstrong access to L. Ron Hubbard's personal info in order to write a "truthful" biography of him, resulting in Armstrong seeing for himself what a bunch of lies Hubbard's life had been and bolting the cult -- with a bunch of the evidence. Then when the WWW came around in the 1990s, they tried to control it with Scientologists shilling online, resulting in said Scientologists sometimes realizing the truth and also bolting the cult.

How long until CNNers become ex-CNNers and join us? Betting pool, anyone? :-)

Look...we can put an end to CNN. THEY NEED US not the other way around. I think people are forgetting that. STOP watching, linking, reading, and insist ANY venue you use such as a gym etc stop using CNN. They won't last the year if we do that. And someone quick get this job advert to the chap who was on Tucker the other night...he'd be brilliant at it and they'd be stupid enough to hire him :D (HAHA Peyton Manning). That is some insane through the looking glass stuff there. Only Zero Hedge had this? I think we should put the link in some more mail boxes because this is mind blowing. They are looking for someone who can effectively and angrily lash out at real stuff and promote fake stuff. They think they can pull it off because they've pulled it off before, but things are so different now. CNN is toast. If they got stock, short that shit.

The guy who wrote this fake story was just outed by the NY Times and he lost his job as a political aide. But he made $22,000 for about 20 hours of creating fake news during the election. If I were trying to track that little man down, I'd start with that village in Macedonia and the teenagers there who pump out the fake news for pay. There's a lot of smoke coming from that direction for there to be no fire.

Those are real parts of the picture, certainly. Now, finally, the warnings are taking hold, even as the corrupt media liars are exposing themselves more with every passing day. It's a beautiful thing. However, it does leave a vacuum (which I've posted about here on Voat before). All sorts of people and things are stepping into that vacuum, so it's a time when actual fake news sources (like the Macedonian dorks) can thrive, for now, in the chaos. Caveat lector has never been more apt. But there is also the element of disinformation coming from those who want to depict their opponents as gullible. This strikes me as akin to pushing a toddler down as they're taking their first steps and then belittling them for not being better at walking. Or, to use a more current analogy, like kidnapping a mentally challenged white guy and gang-torturing him for being a Trump supporter.

People will learn, one way or another, to beware of both disinformation and misinformation. In the post-Mockingbird era, there isn't any choice (at least not yet). Meantime, more fake stuff will doubtless have its moment in the sun now and then.
