I think like someone else said, the danger in day old meat is that meat which has been left out for a day shouldn't be eaten. And buses aren't exactly dangerous, but bus travel does seem to have some risks. Reports of serious accidents during long highway bus trips are fairly common, and the low-cost bus lines with cheaper tickets are perceived as riskier. So that's what this email would appear to be about.

I think people should stop relying so heavily on Urban Dictionary to come up with alternate meanings for words. Not everything is coded language, and anyone can submit definitions to urban dictionary, so a term that's used a certain way by only a handful of people can get more attention than it really warrants.

Unless a term is actually in common usage within a certain region or subculture, taking Urban Dictionary too seriously is a recipe for jumping to unwarranted conclusions.

Sometimes the simplest explanation is the best one. It sounds like Victor thinks riding the bus is as risky as eating day-old meat, maybe because unsavory characters hang around the bus station.

I would bet the meat thing is the fact that it's dangerous to eat meat that's been left out for a day. The bus thing is weird though and I have no explanation for that.
