Could be organ harvesting. Just wrote up a post on that actually.

Great find, this is pure satanic and the depictions of kids in it is disturbing and certainly is satanic themed

Wow I barely noticed the goat.

Apparently there is another mural (children's book themed) on the rear outside wall of Politics and Prose. Slightly better photo here. .

Also, here is an NPR video & article about Holliday's mural and of her meanings behind the symbology and imagery.

Just some observations: The boy's building blocks: ARRA EMR HITEC http://www.medicalrecords.com/physicians/the-national-digital-medical-records-mandate-arra https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electronic_health_record http://www.hitechanswers.net/about/about-arra/

A man is holding a sign: "we need health reform NOW"

The appearance of someone stealing the patients blood

The custodian's wet floor sign says: caution slippery slope" and her bag appears to say "sold" linen(?)

There are pink blue and yellow spoons (?) in front of the desk

The clock has no time/hands.

The oddest thing to me is the girl in the blue dress. She is wearing a mask facing left, but appears black eyed looking right.

Painted by Regina Holliday .

These days you can usually find Regina Holliday in a parking lot between the BP station and the CVS near the Politics and Prose bookstore. She’s painting a 20-foot-high mural, showing her husband on his deathbed, to draw attention to the failings of the health system.

Washington Sketch: In Mural, Widow Paints a Plea for Health-Care Reform

Painting style is definitely creepy, but the imagery seems to be in-line with what the artists says about her mural.

Yes but it includes satanic themes they conveniently neglect to mention

think_whatif

Can you describe the satanic themes that you see?

jonnythaiwongy9

The goat, the two headed girl crouched down, possibly some significance of what's in her hands, as for the other odd things like the nurse bound across the stomach with rope and the guy interfering with the patients IV, not sure what to make of that.

Yeah the mural is on the back of the BP gas station, which is separated by a driveway from the line of stores on the block. It's not on the building that the bookstore is in. You can see the mural from the side in Google Street View if you set the date to Aug 2014.

Edit: It's pretty common in big cities for building owners with big blank walls to allow an artist to paint a mural as a way of discouraging graffiti.
