More Normalization of Pedophilia- New Hampshire House Bill 106, "Pedophile Protection Act" ( pizzagate )

First post on here, but been a lurker for a while. I am from the area and this has popped up in the news the past week.

"The bill up for a hearing Tuesday would require victims of sexual assault to corroborate their testimony if the defendant has no prior related conviction. "

Local police chiefs have been voicing out against this bill which is good. If only they could see the bigger picture behind this.

Chief Andrew Lavoie of the Nashua Police Department sounded a similar note: “The long-standing practice has been letting a judge and jury determine a victim’s credibility, with all due respect, not the Legislature,” he said. “This is a tremendous overreach, and will have a tremendously chilling effect on what is already one of the most under-reported crimes.”

Props to this man.

Yeahh these aren't related to pedophilia at all. They are just to make sure that people can't scream rape and then not have to prove anything for people who have never been convicted before.
My personal verdict. Sensationalist bullshit. I support this legislation.

His argument is people are perceived as guilty as soon as they are accused of the crime and he points to the 2016 aggravated felonious sexual assault conviction of Concord psychologist Foad Afshar, who is serving 3 to 6 years for touching the genitals of a 12-year-old child during an appointment. Marsh argues Afshar was convicted with little evidence other than the victim's word and says the case could mean psychologists and psychiatrists may hesitate to treat children in the future."

Why do local law enforcement and newspapers call it the "pedophile protection act" if it has nothing to do with pedophilia?

"Sgt. Sean Ford of the Concord Police Department testified at the Statehouse on Tuesday and summed it up perfectly: "It's really nothing short of the nation's first pedophile protection act," he said, according to an Associated Press report on the hearing that drew a large crowd to Concord."

I must admit that I think it is already to hard on the victim. Lawyer lobbyists are constantly pushing for the criminals. Also there is a huge pedophile lobbyist group as well pressuring as well. Those that are children that have been raped already must go through horrible pain sometimes facing their abusers. Lately it just seems that we are protecting the accused and not the harmed. Just my take.

innocent until proven guilty not the other way around tho. too many innocent people sit behind bars as well.
