She doesn't have Kuru. She most likely has Parkinson's Disease. The biggest bit of evidence she does is the likely presence of a Deep Brain Stimulator(DBS) as indicated by the type of low energy MRI she had. Evidently you only get those if you've got a metal wire in your head that could possibly heat up via induction within the intense magnetic field of an MRI machine. DBS are sort of like pacemakers except the wire goes into the brain instead of the heart. The put out a constant low current of electricity that quiets tremors.
