I have to disagree here. Even if grown ups "just talk" about it on a forum and enjoy it, this is abuse. By taking pleasure in imagining adults having sex with children, they caution the act. It doesn't mean all these people should go to jail, but we should not tolerate that they have online platforms to share their sick fantasies and arouse each other. Why? Because it put children at risk. I want every children in the world to feel safe and I'm sure I'm not alone. Every pedophiles should take it onto themselves to get rid of their "condition". It's not normal, it's not right and it should not be tolerated. They should medidate, do hypnosis, seek help from professionals and I don't know what else, but this is their responsibility. I don't want them to accept their condition and feel good about it. Children deserve better.

What is the priority here? Protecting the free speech of those having a sexual deviance or protecting innocent children from these same people? You cannot have both.

What's the next step? Let them organize pedophile parties in your city, as long as they just talk about it and don't commit any action? Presumably police authorities are watching the Reddit threads and will be able to prevent any of these "thoughts" from turning into crimes. However, as we can see from the overwhelming numbers of cases of kidnappings -- 800,000 a year here in the US alone -- there is every reason to be concerned. Sexual abuse of children isn't a victimless crime.
